Vineyard and vintage
A single-vineyard Chardonnay from the organic “Milea” vineyard in Argalasti, Pelion, planted in 2008 at a density of 6,000 vines per hectare on clay soil at 300 metres. The large neighbouring forest together with a stream, provide cool nights during the summer months that preserve the acidity of the grapes. In 2025 temperatures were mild with ample rainfall and nights cooler than average, favouring an extended ripening.
Winemaking
The grapes are picked by hand so that the berries are not damaged and taken straight to the winery, where destemming and crushing take place on the same day. After a 48-hour cold maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 14°C. The wine then stays on its fine lees for 4–6 months with periodic stirring (bâtonnage).
Tasting notes
Green-gold colour. Green apple, lime, minerality and sea salt dominate, while the palate shows high acidity, medium body and a long finish.
